Brett is responsible for global public affairs at Suntory Global Spirits. He leads a global team of ten public affairs professionals who strive to create the best possible operating environment for Suntory Global Spirit’s iconic spirits brands. Before joining Suntory Global Spirits, Brett ran global government relations for Yum! Brands and the company’s three major brands: KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell. Before joining Yum! In January of 2014, Brett spent four years as Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Churchill Downs Incorporated, the publicly traded racing, gaming, and entertainment company, and eight years as Vice President, Government Relations at the American Gaming Association in Washington, DC. He began his career on Capitol Hill, where his positions included legislative support roles for U.S. Senators Mitch McConnell and Slade Gorton and chief of staff to Congressman Ed Whitfield of Kentucky.
Orlando Henry “Tubby” Smith is an American college basketball coach who last coached the men’s team at High Point University, his alma mater. Smith previously served the same role at the University of Tulsa, University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, University of Minnesota, Texas Tech University, and the University of Memphis. With Kentucky, Coach Smith took the Wildcats to the 1998 NCAA championship. In his 31 years as a head coach, Tubby achieved 26 winning seasons. With Texas Tech’s invitation to the 2016 NCAA tournament, he became only the second of three coaches in history to lead five teams to the NCAA tournament.
